Welcome to Trinity!

Lent

We are a social justice collection of folks who really do believe that the message of Jesus is relevant to the politics of our time.
We affirm the vision of a joyous creation-centered, nonviolent economy at the heart of Jesus' teachings and life. We affirm that life is centered and grounded in relationships of diversity and tolerance. We affirm, "all are welcome" as God's beloved in one global family.

We're not perfect and we're not Heaven on earth. We're strugglers who have a vision of the way the world ought to be: we are trying to be a community living towards that world through our lives today.

SATURDAY SOUP

another Event

SATURDAY SOUP from 11am-1pm for the Ballard community.
SATURDAY SOUP is our relational ministry with neighborhood homeless. We serve from 11am-1pm for the Ballard community. We host a lunch serving delicious and nutritious soup, sandwiches and hospitality to the homeless and lonely in the Ballard community. The success of this mission and response from our congregation and community has been tremendous. We consistently serve between 30 and 40 people and the numbers continue to grow as the word gets out. Volunteers come from the community, our wonderful choir, as well as from other congregations.
For volunteer opportunities contact the church office. The time requirement is minimal and the rewards are great. Donations of paper napkins, small paper cups, books, or magazines can be made in the Saturday Soup Donation box in the parlor. If you would like to make a monetary donation to help with supplies, please contact the church office.
We invite everyone to come on Saturday and have a delicious bowl of soup and a sandwich with us. Great things are happening and we would love to see you there!

Sandwich Makers

Every first, second and fifth (if there is one) Wednesday of the month, the Sandwich Makers meet and make upward of 200 sandwiches that are then delivered to Angeline's Day Center for Women. This group consists of 6 no-nonsense dedicated ladies and gentlemen. Help is always needed and appreciated! 9am in our Big Kitchen! Get here on time so you are not accidentally locked out!

Gardening - Creation Care

another Event

Our Gardening Group -- Creation Care is dedicated to the upkeep and maintenance of or newly constructed garden. Although a garden tender's work is never done, this group is most active from the spring to the late fall. All are welcome to rejoice in our community garden!
Contact the Church Office if you are interested in becoming involved with the Trinity Creation Care Group!

TRINITY GARDEN NEWS
The ground has thawed, the flowers are opening to the warming sun of spring, and the longer days are creeping up nicely. The Trinity garden is ready for a bit of tending.
If you have time after Saturday Soup I welcome you to join me, with gloved hands, to begin working and amending the soil for planting.
Mark these dates on your calendars for future (after Saturday Soup) garden gatherings:
See you in the garden!

Spiritual Education

Join us Sunday mornings at 9am for the Education Hour.

During the month of May we are examining
The Five Practices of Fruitful Congregations,
which isn't as cheesy as it sounds.

The class will feature great conversation centered around the revolutionary concept of the local congregation as a
North American Christian Base Community (Liberation theology).

Children of Trinity

We currently have three classes on Sunday for our children: Babies, Preschool and Elementary aged children. The Preschool aged Children gather with us all in the Sanctuary, are welcomed at Children's Time, then excused to their classrooms. Each group of children gathers with their teachers and are led in age appropriate activities. We also have a monthly Babies Night Out.

Trinity Music

Choir01

The Sparkling Choir of Love, meets every Thursday in the Sanctuary 7pm start time. Come a little early, 6:45 to grab a cup of tea.
